Airdrie Pro Rodeo

The Airdrie Pro Rodeo was held June 29-July 1 in Airdrie, Alberta at the Airdrie Rodeo Grounds. Bucky McAlpine took first in the bareback riding with his 84.5 points on Blue Moon (Outlaw Buckers) for $1,551. Josh Harden took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.0 seconds run to pocket $2,272. In the team roping, Kavis Drake & Denim Ross took first with their quick 4.0 seconds to take home $2,600 each. Kyle Wanchuk took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 86 points on Xrated Dancer (Calgary Stampede) for $2,235. Ty Harris took first in the calf roping with his 8.1 seconds run to net him $2,627. Kyla Simmons took first in the barrel racing with her 14.80 seconds run to pocket $3,158. William Barrows took first in the bull riding with his big 86.5 point ride on Slip Up (Outlaw Buckers) for $1,995.

The total payout this year was $92,681.40. Outlaw Buckers Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractor Calgary Stampede and Prairie Rodeo. Travis Erickson and Blade Young were the pickup men and Cody Strandquist and Cantrell Gravelle provided the cowboy protection.
