Wichita Falls PRCA Rodeo was held Aug. 21-22 at the Kay Yeager Coliseum giving rodeo fans a much needed break from the sweltering triple digit Texas weather. The rodeo athletes still brought the heat, trying to make the most of each rodeo as the clock ticks down to the finals weeks of the 2026 rodeo season. All-around cowboy went to Jeffery Hass, who took home $721 for competing in the steer wrestling and team roping. Kash Money Loyd beat out Cole Hollen by half a point to take first in the bareback riding with his 86 points on Batman (Hi Lo ProRodeo) for $1,874. Cade Staton took first in the steer wrestling for his 3.8 seconds run to earn $1,967. Devon Johnson & Zane Pratt took first in the team roping for their 4.2 seconds to to take home $2,453 each. There was a tie in the saddle bronc riding between Ethan
Cart on Brass Monkey (Hi Lo ProRodeo) and Will Pollock on First Class (Hi Lo ProRodeo), with both riders scoring 83 points to take home $1,803 each. Madalyn Richards took first in the breakaway roping with her quick 2.0 seconds run to net her$3,337. Cash Enderli took first in the tie-down roping with his 6.9 seconds run to pocket $2,735. Ilyssa Riley took first in the barrel racing with her quick 14.80 seconds run to take home $2,615. The bulls unfortunately did not decide to play nice and there were no qualified rides.
This year the total payout was $74,861. Hi Lo ProRodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Pickett Pro Rodeo Co, JJ Miller, and Clinton Couch. Pender Pender and Jeremy Mercer were the pickup men and Jake Geiger and Joshua Hernandez provided the cowboy protection.
