PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Event in Greenville, South Carolina

Afonso Quintino gained a quick lead in Round 1 of the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event which got underway Friday night in Greenville, South Carolina. Quintino had a winning 85.5 point ride on Ol Buddy (Blake Sharp/Jason Edmondson), earning him 28 points in the race to be crowned the 2025 PBR Velocity Tour Champion. The bulls were not cutting the cowboys any slack with an impressive 85.71% buckoff rate leading to only 5 of the riders making it the full 8 seconds for qualified rides. Brandon Ballard took second with his 84.5 point ride on Wicked In A Winning Way (Chestnut Dreams/Davis Rodeo Ranch), earning him 18 Velocity Global points. Marco Rizzo took third with an 83.5 point ride on Copperhead Road (C-B Bucking Bulls), for 17 points. Fourth place went to Dylan Smith for his 81.5 point ride on Gunsmoke (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) and16 Velocity Global points. Conner Halverson took fifth with his 74 points on The Sauce Too (Blake Sharp/Henry Wilson), earning him 7 Velocity Global points.
On Saturday night, Afonso Quintino went 2 for 3 to win the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event in Greenville. In Round 2 he had an 84.5 point ride on Rag Doll (J Bar W). Unfortunately he was bucked off in the championship round by Cash Goblin (Dave Martin/Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in 3.61 seconds, but his scores in Round1and Round 2 were still high enough to net him the win and126 points in the race to be crowned the 2025 PBR Velocity Tour Champion. Carlos Garcia (Abingdon, Virginia) took second for his ride 85 point ride on Sugar Bear (C-B Bucking Bulls), earned him 78 Velocity Global points. Third place went to Brandon Ballard who had an 84.5 point ride on Wicked In A Winning Way (Chesnut Dreams/Davis Rodeo Ranch) Round 1, and 54 Velocity Global points. Zane Cook who did not have a successful Round 1 took fourth thanks to his 84 point ride on Late Hit (Blake Sharp/Henry Wilson) in Round 2, netting him 38 Velocity Global points. There was a three-way tie for fifth between Ezekiel Mitchell, Marco Rizzo, and Tanner Dale with each rider having an 83.5 point ride. Rizzo had his qualified ride in Round 1 on Copperhead Road (C-B Bucking Bulls) for 28.7 Velocity Global points. Mitchell and Dale both had theirs in Round 2 with Mitchell paired with Wicked Ways (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) and Dale paired with Coolio (C-B Bucking Bulls), for 27.2 Velocity Global points.
Commander (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls) and Cash Goblin tied for the Bull of the Event for their 43.5 point bull scores in the championship round. Commander earned score for his buckoff of Seth White and Cash Goblin for bucking off Quintino.
