The Midwest Horse Fair & Rodeo was held the weekend of April 11-12th in Madison Wisconsin. Aside from the PRCA rodeo it featured a FFA State Horse Evaluation Career Development Event, Working Equitation Challenge, and ILHA Invitational Freestyle Liberty Show as well as carriage rides, pony rides and kid's korral.
All-around cowboy went to Judd Grover who competed in tie-down roping and team roping to take home $1,302. Jason Wilson took first in the bareback riding with an 81 point ride on Wild Side (Barnes PRCA Rodeo) for $1,407. There was only one qualified ride in the steer wrestling. Justin Zwiefel took first with his 11.8 second run to take home $1,28. Rylee Mills & Jordan Reynolds took first in the team roping with a 5.3 second to earn $1,751 each. Spur Montag took first in the saddle bronc riding with a 77 point ride on Nutter Butter (Barnes PRCA Rodeo) for $1,407. Judd Grover took first in the tie-down roping with a 10.9 second run for $1,302. In the barrel racing, Jamie Lenzner took first with her quick 14.27 second run to take home $1,728. There were only three qualified rides in the bull riding. Coy Thorson took first with an 82 points on No. 100 (Barnes PRCA Rodeo) for a big $3,553 check. Barnes PRCA Rodeo and Redline Pro Rodeo provided the stock. Miles Jones and Luke Moore ptovided cowboy protection and Jeff Rector and Garrett Underwood were the pickup men.
