FWSS Semifinal B & Finals

The Fort Worth Stock Show wrapped up this weekend starting with Semifinal B deciding which contestants from each event would advance onto the final round. A win here not only helps to start the 2025 rodeo season off strong for these athletes, but for some the huge payouts can be a huge determining factor in making the NFR. It was the $25,000 payout per team roper that significantly helped last years reining champions Clay Smith and Coleby Payne advance to the NFR.

On Saturday, there was a scary moment during the Chuckwagon racing when Reed Rosecrans was injured when his wagon tipped over. Action stopped while Rosecrans and the horses were attended to. According to the PRCA website, Dr. Jason Mogonye, the co-medical director at Justin Sports Medicine, said Rosecrans was alert and sent to a nearby hospital for further testing. A horse was also examined by on-site veterinarians who determined the horse did not have any series injuries and would make a full recovery. Hopefully we see both Rosecrans and the horse back in action soon.
