Drayton Valley hosted it's annual pro rodeo May 2-4th at the Omniplex. Chett Deitz beat out Strawbs Jones by 1 point to take first with his 86.5 point ride on Anoop (Duffy Rodeo) to take home $1,377. Scott Guenthner is continuing his white-hot start to the season taking first in the steer wrestling with his 3.6 second run for $2,719. In the team toping, Riley Warren & Wyatt Hayes took first with their quick 4.2 second run to take home $2,492 each. Quinten Taylor took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 84.5 point ride on Bootilear (Duffy Rodeo) for $1,568. Tyler Popescul took first in the tie--down roping with his quick 8.8 second run to net him $2,276. Brooke Wills took first in the barrel racing with her fast 13.14 run for $3,826. Jacob Gardner took first in the bull riding with his 86.5 points on Pablo (Duffy Rodeo) to earn $1,568. Duffy Rodeo provided the stock. Lee Trach and Owen Patton were the pickup men and Kris Buffalo and Cody Strandquist kept the bull riders safe.
