Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo

The Dinosaur Roundup in Vernal, Utah is one of the biggest rodeos in Utah. It has also been nominated eight times as one of the top five best outdoor rodeos in the PRCA and for a good reason. This rodeo has a long history dating back nearly 100 years ago when it began as part of the Golden West Days. The name has changed a few times over the years as the rodeo grew until finally around 60 years ago it became known as Vernal's Dinosaur Roundup and the name stuck. It became a PRCA sanctioned rodeo in 1950 and has continued to grow into the rodeo it is today attracting top talent in hopes of earning checks to inch closer to their NFR dreams.

This year Keenan Hayes took first in the saddle bronc riding with a 90 point ride on Powder River Rodeo's Misdemeanor. Talon Roseland took first in the steer wrestling with a 3.6 second run. There was a tie for first in the team roping between Kolton Schmidt/Landen Glenn and Nelson Wyatt/Jonathan Torres with both having 4.5 second runs. There was also a tie in the saddle bronc riding with both Ryder Sanford, on Powder River Rodeo's Toss Across, and Ryder Wright, on Powder River Rodeo's Party Planner scoring 87 points for first.
