The Abbyville Frontier Days kicked off May 16-17th in Abbyville, Kansas. All-around cowboy went to Weston Patterson, who competed in the saddle bronc riding and steer wrestling to take home $813. He also tied for first in the saddle bronc riding for his 79 point ride on Whisper Trail (New Frontier Rodeo) with Korben Baker, on War Jet (New Frontier Rodeo) to earn $813 each. Rhett Robbins took first in the bareback riding with his 84 point ride on Time Bomb (New Frontier Rodeo) for $763. Coy Johnston took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.2 second run to earn $1,128. There was also a tie for first in the team roping between Brandon Farris & Braden Harmon and Klay Yaussi & Kash Yaussi, with both teams stopping the clock at 5.3 seconds to take home $1,152 each. Tyler Milligan took first in the tie-down roping with his 9.3 second run for $1,109. Emily Beisel took first in the barrel racing with her 14.19 second run to net her $986. There was another tie for first in the breakaway roping between Molly Hamilton and Mable McAbee who both had 2.6 second run for $1,407 each. JR Stratford had the only qualified ride in the bull riding with his solid 88 point ride on Crimnimal Intent (New Frontier Rodeo) to earn $2,529. New Frontier Rodeo provided the stock. Wade Kunze and Jake Welker provided the cowboy protection and Andy Eck and Sal Torres were the pickup men.
